Serving Hardin County Since 1993
Parties and Holidays

We celebrate all kinds of holidays and special occasions. We have large parties on the following: Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Parents who wish to bring in special treats on their child’s birthday or other special occasion are welcome to do so. All food brought into the center must be store-bought and in its original container. This is a health department rule.

Show and Tell

We have show and tell in each classroom every Friday. Please do not allow your children to bring toys on any other day.

Television

Television is limited to program related areas only. Occasionally the children will watch a ‘G’ rated movie on special occasions.

Field Trips

We plan field trips for preschool and school age children. In order for your child to attend a field trip, you must sign a permission slip specifically for each trip and pay the fee associated with the trip. We will never take your children off the premises without your specific, written permission. If your child is under 40 inches or 40 pounds, you must provide a car seat.

Preschool

The Primary House provides preschool for three, four, and five year old children. Preschool is held Monday thru Friday 9:00-12:00. We follow the Hardin County School calendar . Preschool activities, however are continued even when Hardin County Schools are not in session. Our curriculum covers every week of the year. Introductions of letters, numbers and colors are planned for weeks when Hardin County Schools are in session. We do enrichment and review activities during other weeks.

Accidents

Despite our best efforts, accidents resulting in injuries do occur. In the case of minor injuries, an accident report will be completed by the staff member caring for your child. It will be signed by a supervisor and given to you for a signature when you arrive to pick up your child. Your signature simply means that you have been informed of the injury. A copy will be given to you. More serious injuries will result in an immediate call to parents and 911 if warranted. Staff members certified in First-aid and CPR will always be on duty.
